One lick of these homemade fudge pops and memories of grabbing change from your mom's coat pocket and running for the ice cream man will come surging back. The added bonus is that these are fat free!
Makes 6-8
Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 cups fat free evaporated milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Special Equipment
- ice pop molds
How-to
- In a small saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, cocoa
- Stir in evaporated milk
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until mixture comes to a simmer, then stir constantly for another minute or until it begins to thicken
- Stir in vanilla
- Let sit until pan is cool to the touch, then pour liquid into a measuring cup so it's easier to pour into molds. Freeze until firm, at least 4 hours
