Jason Bacon is a born & raised New Englander who will argue the difference between a "frappe" and a "shake" until blue in the face. Because of his passion for retro soda shop terms, we had him educate us on a classic Coffee Frappe (which some may still call a "shake") at Frates Drive-In Restaurant located in Taunton, MA. Coffee ice cream, coffee syrup and milk are blended until it's "thin enough to sip through a straw, but not so thick that you have to use a spoon." Frappe? Shake? Who cares. All we know is that it's pretty darn tasty.
