This is a perfect soup - very tasty, nutritios, and pleasing to the eye. I don't require as much protein, and I don't like large chunks of meat, and so I used 4 oz. of coarsely ground chicken (I grind it myself). I also used my own homemade chicken stock. To add another level of heat, and flavor, I also added a jalapeno, with the stem and ribs removed. What a wonderful taste experience. I intend to make this soup frequently. Thanks for the recipe.
