Beverages » Hot Buttered Rum
Our friend Lino from Upstairs on the Square offers up this answer to cold weather blues. A fragrant & spicy hot buttered rum will cure what ails you. Plop yourself in front of a fireplace with a good book and your dog, and let this drink warm you from head to toe.
Ingredients
- ¾ oz black strap rum (suggestion: Cruzan - an aged rum blended with molasses)
- ¾ oz spiced rum (suggestions: Sailor Jerry - 92 proof, or Captain Morgan)
- ½ oz simple syrup (3 parts sugar to 1 part water - recommend using raw or unprocessed sugar) or you can use honey
- 3 oz hot water (option: can use hot cider instead)
