Ingredients
Dani's Royal Icing - Makes 5 Cups
- ½ cup meringue powder
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 lbs confectioners sugar
Cookies
- favorite cookie recipe, cut into snow diva shapes, baked & cooled
Decorations
- royal icing with white food coloring to make icing even whiter!
- gumdrop, sliced into thin triangles for nose
- flower candy for hat
- dragée candy for eyes and necklaces
- sanding sugar
Special Equipment
- hand mixer
- squeeze bottles
- small offset spatula
- tweezers
- toothpicks
How-to
Prepare Royal Icing
- Using a hand mixer, beat together meringue powder and water
- Slowly beat in sugar, until combined
- For even whiter icing, mix in white food coloring
Decorate Cookies
- Bake and completely cool your favorite snow diva-shaped cookies
- Once cookies have cooled, outline the cookie with royal icing, then fill in the area. Give cookie a shake to even out the icing
- Decorate as desired and finish with a generous dusting of sanding sugar, tilting the cookie to remove excess sugar
