About Dmitra "Dima" Khoury <p> Dmitra &quot;Dima&quot; Khoury learned how to cook from her mother Najla while growing up in Northern Lebanon. Her family moved to the United States in 1984, where she initially struggled to learn the English language (she was taught Shakespearean English in Lebanon!), and become acclimated with America&#39;s fast-moving culture. Today, though fluent in English, Dmitra communicates best through her food, using the kitchen to bring people together.
