About Candy Gold <p> Candy Gold is a &quot;local girl&quot; who was born and raised in Massachusetts and LOVES her Red Sox! She started out in journalism -- covering Arts &amp; Entertainment events, but always wanted to encorporate her love for food and cooking into her career. One New Year&#39;s Eve (after quite a few liquid libations), she went to bed and flipped on the television to an advertisment for a local cable company looking for programming ideas. Thus was born Candy&#39;s local cable access cooking show, &quot;Neighborhood Cooking w/ Candy Gold.&quot; When she is not filming (or winning recipe contests for The Cooking Channel!) she enjoys making delicious meals for her husband and two children.</p>
