Appetizers » Pita with Labane & Olive Oil
We all know olive oil is good for us, so why not take full advantage of its versatility and use it whenever you can. Drizzled over a yogurt cheese called Labane and sprinkled with mint, this toasted pita treat tastes delicous and is made even better by the fact that you're getting all the wonderful benefits of olive oil.
Ingredients
- any type of your favorite yogurt
- pita bread
- olive oil for drizzling
- dried mint
Special Equipment
- strainer, fine sieve or cheesecloth
How-to
- Strain yogurt overnight over a dish in the refrigerator. The remaining product is yogurt cheese or Labane
- Toast half a pita bread for 1½ - 2 minutes until crisp
- Spread pita generously with Labane, sprinkle with mint and drizzle with olive oil
