Pickled Red Radish


  • 3 red radishes, washed and tops trimmed
  • ½ habanero pepper

Pickling Ingredient Measurements Are To Taste:

  • rice wine vinegar
  • simple syrup (equal parts sugar/water)
  • kosher salt

Special Equipment

  • mandoline slicer


  1. Slice radishes into thin rounds, then cut into thin batons and place in a small dish
  2. Place one half of a habanero pepper into the same dish 
  3. Bring vinegar, syrup and salt to a boil; adjust ingredients to taste
  4. Pour over radishes and pepper
  5. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap & refrigerate overnight
