Spoon Bread
Serves 3
Ingredients
Bowl 1
- 5 eggs
 - 1 qt buttermilk
 - ¼ cup sour cream
 - ¼ cup molasses
 
Bowl 2
- 2 cups flour
 - 2 cup cornmeal
 - 1½ cups sugar
 - 2 tbsp baking powder
 - 2 tbsp baking soda
 
Honey Butter
- ¾ cup butter, room temperature
 - ¼ cup honey
 
How-to
- Preheat oven to 400°
 - In Bowl 1, combine 5 eggs, 1 qt buttermilk, ¼ cup sour cream and ¼ cup molasses
 - In Bowl 2, combine 2 cups flour, 2 cups cornmeal, 1½ cups sugar, 2 tbsp baking powder, 2 tbsp baking soda
 - Mix both bowls together
 - Bake in greased pan at 400° for 15-20 minutes until golden brown
 - Top with a generous helping of honey butter (see instructions below)
 
Make Honey Butter
- In a small bowl mix butter and honey until smooth
 - Store, covered, in the refrigerator
