Jackson's Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients

For 1 Cocktail

  • 1½ oz rum
  • hot water
  • 1 heaping barspoon (2 tbsp) of batter (*see ingredients below)

Batter

  • equal parts unsalted butter & brown sugar
  • cinnamon to taste
  • allspice to taste
  • freshly grated nutmeg to taste

How-to

Make Batter

  1. Add butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg in a blender and blend to a creamy consistency

Make Cocktail

  1. Heat a mug with hot water then discard once glass has been warmed
  2. Pour rum into the mug, then add hot water
  3. Add the rum batter and stir to integrate, then top with more hot water
  4. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg
