  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 5-7 star anise
  • about 20 whole allspice berries
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup triple sec
  • 1 magnum of red wine plus 1 regular-sized bottle red wine


  1. In a saucepan, add cider, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and allspice berries and bring to a boil
  2. Remove from the stove and completely cool the cider completely in a bowl placed on another bowl of ice
  3. In a pitcher add apples, cranberries and then add cooled cider/spice mixture
  4. Add ¼ cup triple sec and 1 bottle red wine
  5. Let sit in refrigerator for at least 6-8 hours
  6. Strain liquid before serving and add apple slices and cinnamon sticks
