Bois de Rose Cocktail

Makes 1 cocktail


  • ½ oz bitter orange liqueur (Aperol recommended)
  • ice
  • 1 oz dry gin
  • ½ oz St~Germain (elderflower liqueur)
  • juice of ¼ lemon
  • rosé Champagne (or sparkling wine)
  • orange peel for essential oils & garnish

Special Equipment

  • jigger
  • cocktail shaker
  • peeler or channel knife
  • flute glass


  1. Pour orange liqueur into a flute glass and swirl around to coat the glass. Discard excess remaining in glass
  2. Fill shaker with ice. Add gin, St~Germain, and the juice of ¼ of a lemon. Cover and shake until you begin to see frost on the shaker
  3. Strain and pour into a flute glass. Top with rosé Champagne
  4. Squeeze orange peel into drink to release essential oils. Drop the peel into the glass as a garnish and serve
